On September 27, 2026, AMAZONA.de, a long-established German magazine for synthesizers and music gear, published an article introducing IMFMSynth: "Kaito Sato IMFMSynth, 8-OP FM trifft Wavetables, Software-Synth V1.1". The article was also carefully updated for the release of v1.1.0.
What surprised me was how technically detailed it is. Rather than just listing the main features, it goes into the DX7 algorithms, fixed-frequency mode, CLAP per-note modulation, audio-rate modulation of the wavetable position, hard sync and ring modulation, and the different ways to import wavetables. It felt like it was written by people who really understand synthesizers and had actually spent time with the instrument.
I was so pleased that I emailed them, and they kindly allowed me to feature the article on the official site, which is why I am writing this. According to the editor-in-chief, the article was very well received by the AMAZONA community, and they will be testing IMFMSynth more thoroughly. I am looking forward to seeing what comes of it.
I feel truly honored that a synth made by an independent developer in Japan has made its way across the sea to musicians in Germany.
